Welcome back to the 2024-25 school year! We welcome our returning families, as well as extend a warm welcome to the new families to our SBT community. We hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer vacation.
Our school year will begin on Tuesday September 3rd at 9:00am. All the teachers will be outside in the yard beginning at 8:45am.
Wishing all of our St. Benedict families a happy and fun-filled summer. Thank you for an amazing school year filled with learning, new activities, friendships, and self growth. We are blessed to have walked this school year together.

In accordance with the Ministry of Education’s new Regulation 304, “School Year Calendar, Professional Activity Days,” the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) is providing the following summary of P.A. Day activities at the elementary level on Friday, June 28, 2024.
Friday, June 28, 2024 Staff are engaged in closing operations for the end of term.
We invite families to celebrate the musical learning and talents of our St. Benedict students. The Spring Concert will take place on Wednesday May 22, 2022.
Doors will open at 1:00pm, with the concert beginning promptly at 1:30pm.

On March 21, 2024 the York Catholic District School Board celebrated the third annual board-wide Lenten Mass of Renewal and Reconciliation. Livestreamed to the board’s 50,000 students, the Mass featured the talented students of St Edward Catholic Elementary School and St Brother Andre Catholic High School, in Markham, who performed the music and helped with the readings.

We mark the the first day of Lent on Wednesday February 14, 2024. We will be celebrating Ash Wednesday in the gym at 10:30am. Thank you to the choir, instrumentalists, and Faith Ambassadors for preparing for this holy day.
All families from our community are welcome to attend the liturgy and receive ashes.
